Warm bodies and a bitten. that's how every weekend needs to be spent.
I am not convinced I should call my one day off a week a 'weekend' though. it doesn't seem fitting.
I feel like I did nothing today. but..I did a lot of domesticated tomfoolery. and I got to hang with my best besties and some new cool people we're considering adopting.
the art of making friends is something I've always just been good at. I'm charismatic and command a room when given the opportunity. so I tend to have people gravitate towards me. but if there's anything I've learned in the last few years with making and breaking substantial relationships with people, is that you have to trust your instincts. just because someone likes the same music or tv show as you, doesn't mean that they're a decent human being, or operate on a basic level of understanding what mutual respect means, or really offer anything quality to the friendship. and it's quality over quantity. so I've learned.
I'm happy to be expanding my circle a bit with people who I feel compelled to know. and it's been awhile since I've felt compelled to know anyone. so today was nice.
I also viewed "Upsteam Color" which I have to say is probably the best movie I have seen all year so far. I highly highly recommend it for viewing. It's curious and well written and has just enough of a twisted plot to make it highly interesting without being stupid. It's on netflix. so you have no excuse to not see it.
I think I will settle into a few episodes of Buffy before I retired fully for the evening. though the heaviness of my eyelids is suggesting just one episode. we'll see.
