the bright side is that it pushed me into moving a few months sooner than I had planned.
the bright side is that I sign the papers on my condo next week!
big huge kitchen. every appliance you could ever want. north east facing so I get only the good sun and none of the 'make it way too balls hot' sun. big soaker tub. full gym, heated underground parking. walking distance to my besties. 15 minutes from work.
perfect condo. perfect price. perfect timing. it couldn't have been more perfect.
when I told smokes we were moving and that she'd have the whole huge balcony to herself to sunbathe and chirp at birds - this was her face on that
that's what I get for trying to talk to my totally deaf cat. she just sleeps through our conversations.
to her credit though, the next time she woke up I told her all about it and she seems just as excited as I am! I can't wait to decorate!
In unrelated news. I had a birthday. it was a great birthday. actually - it was the best birthday. I can't get over how amazing my friends are. what I thought would just be a quiet dinner turned into 20+ people coming out to celebrate with me. then we hit the casino for some much needed blackjack. I got so many amazing heartfelt gifts. books and oilers stuff and my friends kids even made me hand made cards. so sweet. I couldn't have spent the day doing anything better. it was truly the best day ever.
work is starting to pick up again. the show is in a few weeks, and then we'll be quiet until april..when shit will hit the fan solid through until october I'm sure. I can't wait :)
the countdown is in the single digits now until I get to see her. which is pretty much slapping the biggest grin on my face known to man. I'm so fucking lucky. so many amazing things happened this week that they totally counteract the crap that had happened last week. next week will be even better. I couldn't be happier. I'm exactly where I want to be.
Yay! Decorating a new place is so fun! I'm sure Smokes will love it too :)
ReplyDeleteAs for my Mexico trip - yes, I was staying at the Riu Playcar. I highly recommend that area... Playa Carmen in the Mayan Riviera. Gorgeous! The beaches are to die for!
